Short Emerald Moss

This yellow-green moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In rainy mountain ranges, In heathlands, and On trees.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is very tough.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
