Clingvine Glowflower

Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short flower grows up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. Its green stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 6 and are very thin and straight, and split into numerous branching stems halfway up, and the tiny, gray-green leaves are slender, pointed with smooth edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

Each stem splits 4 to 10 times; a single small flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with solid white petals decorated with green lines and a pastel yellow central disk. The flower head is made up of 9 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight trumpet. They are hardy.

It has a delicate scent that smells like wet dog, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.

It is bio-luminescent.
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
