Emerald Bog Moss

This yellow-green or olive moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps On rotten logs, and In bogs.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is very flimsy.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release millions of spores.
