Slate Moss

This gray-green and slate moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In rainy mountain ranges.
It is big, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is extremely sturdy.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
