Purple Twistvine

Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This colossal flower grows up to 8.8 feet (2.7 meters) tall. Its gray-green stem is thin and straight with a curved tip, and the miniature, bold red leaves are very thick with irregular edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

Each stem splits 2 to 6 times; a single medium-sized flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 125 cm (49.2 inches) wide, with petals that are lime on the edges and purple at the center. The flower head is largely flat with 42 tightly layered round-tipped petals. They are sturdy.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like glue, and it has a fair amount of pollen. It is pollinated by insects and is visited by a large variety of them.

It can grow in even the most barren lands.
