Redvine
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 50 feet (15.2 meters) and growing as high as 66 feet (20.1 meters).
It takes 3 years for the bold red stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are smooth and slick.
The stiff, pointed, smooth leaves reach up to 10 inches (25 cm) in length. They are light brown and cyan, and have rounded edges.
During late spring, the bine produces hundreds of small black flowers.
It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
