Crimson Glowvine

This short tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 254 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, slanted trunk covered in paper-thin, silky, dark brown bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is silver.

The numerous branches are very long, thin and wispy and are covered with small amounts of covered in fine hairs, small, 4 pointed leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are copper and crimson.

In early spring, it produces copious amounts of giant, silver blossoms with asymmetrical petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have a powerful scent that smells like freshly washed clothes.

In late summer it forms large, green, shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
