Silverbell
Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This big shrub grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for around 65 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has dozens of narrow, straight stems covered in smooth, silver bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.
The branches are short and thin with thousands of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of large, asymmetrical, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid hazel or black, with peach streaks, flexible and sticky.
In late summer it produces many bunches of medium-sized, vivid orange blossoms with many layers of petals. They are very delicate and have a faint scent that smells like lavender.
In late winter large long, tapering fruits ripen. The rough blue skin is thick and inedible, and the crunchy grey flesh is sweet and dry. The lime seeds are small and are bunched at the bottom of the fruit.
