Crimson creeper
Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This small creeper is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 9 feet (2.7 meters) and growing as high as 343 feet (104.5 meters).
It takes 4 months for the brown stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are rough and fibrous.
The needle-like, sticky leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are crimson and bold yellow, and have tattered edges.
During late spring, the creeper produces many bunches of average gold flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces plenty of tiny seed pods.
It is suitable for making paper
The leaves and petals are often used to make tea.
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
It is extremely resistant to fire damage.
