Golden Bellflower

This small flower grows up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. Its beige stem is thin, and the miniature, lime green leaves are 2 pointed with wavy edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Several small flowers grow in bunches along the stem. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of gold. The flower head is largely flat with handfuls of raised narrow petals. They are hardy.

It has a mildly strong scent that smells like cotton, and it has copious amounts of pollen,but it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also visited by one species of insect in particular.
