Magenta

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This small cactus grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The tapering stem is green, and is covered in dozens of fine, lime, hair-like spines.

It is slow growing, taking 37 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with bronze petals that gradient shift to grey on the outer edge. The central disk is silver, grow at the top, reappearing once every 10 years. The flower head is made up of several petals in raised layers. It has a strong scent that smells like cotton.

The cactus's skin is extremely thick, the magenta flesh is rubbery, and the orange sap is thin.

It is suitable for making strong rope
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
The trunk and branches are covered in large spikes.
