Giant Amber Lily
Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)This big flower grows up to 5.1 feet (1.5 meters) tall. Its green stems grow in bunches of 7 and are thin with a curved tip, and the miniature, lime green leaves are thin with smooth edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.
Hundreds of giant flowers grow in drooping bunches like grapes. The flowers are 19 cm (7.5 inches) wide, with amber petals on the lower layer and amber petals decorated with caramel dots on the inner layer. The central disk is lilac. The flower head is shaped like a cube with 13 raised, narrow petals. They fall easily.
It has a soft scent that smells like lavender, and it has copious amounts of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
