Twistvine
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 35 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has many knobbly, wavy stems covered in waxy, burgundy bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.
The branches trail down to the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of large, perforated, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are solid indigo or cyan, with aquamarine splotches, resistant and rough.
In mid-summer it produces lots of large, light orange blossoms with spear shaped petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a powerful scent that smells like cheese.
In late winter small wide fruits ripen. The leathery green skin is peel-able and sweet and sour, and the slightly crunchy washed-out red flesh is sweet and sour and juicy. The hazel seed is large and sits at the top of the fruit.
It is very resistant to fire damage.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
All parts of the cactus are edible.
It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
