Violet Creeper

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 40 years. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has numerous wide, straight stems covered in knobbly, light gray bark, and the wood inside is black with white speckles.

The branches are long and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, thick, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are violet and violet, strong and clammy.

In late spring it produces lots of medium-sized, sky blue flowers with slender, pointed petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like pepper.


It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It can flourish even in standing water.
