Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This short creeper is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 24 feet (7.3 meters) and growing as high as 42 feet (12.8 meters).
It takes 4 months for the orange-yellow stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are thick and twisted.
The long, narrow, crispy leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are found in violet, sky blue and indigo varieties, and have irregular edges.
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
