Silverstem Grass

Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This big, olive or orange grass grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The thin stalks grow in extensive patches that are resilient.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, silver tuft.

During the early summer, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of large grains.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
