Emerald Creeper

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This big creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 184 feet (56.1 meters) and growing as high as 41 feet (12.5 meters).

It takes 3 years for the emerald stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are smooth and rubbery.

The very thin, waxy leaves reach up to 2.3 feet (71 cm) in length. They are generally dark purple, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces thick bunches of tiny purple flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of very large fruits.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
