Pinkwood

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This large tree grows up to 67 meters (219.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 448 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a thick, angular trunk covered in paper-thin, smooth, light brown bark, and inside, the flexible wood is burgundy-brown.

The abundance of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with sparse amounts of covered in fine hairs, huge, thin leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are solid pink with pink patches.

In late summer it forms large, dark grey, shelled seeds.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.


It is very rare outside of a particular area.
