Emerald Clump Moss

This lime green or light grey moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas On trees, On rotten logs, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and can spread and grow quickly, and is overwhelmingly robust; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores.
