Silverbell Turquoisevine
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This large shrub grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and lives for around 42 years. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.
It has numerous long and flexible, straight stems covered in very thick, waxy, brown and grey bark, and the wood inside is silver.
The branches trail down across the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of small, wide, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are found in dark yellow, turquoise and olive varieties, flexible and crispy.
In late spring it produces copious amounts of medium-sized, turquoise flowers with slender, pointed petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have the faintest scent that smells like freshly washed clothes.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
