Silverleaf Fountain Grass

This enormous, silver grass grows up to 18 feet (5.5 meters) tall. The very thick stalks grow in sparse patches that are resistant and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, purple tuft.

During the late summer, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of large grains.
