Eternal Pine

This small tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives "forever", with many known specimens being tens of thousands of years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in delicate, knobbly, dark gray bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is pine-coloured.

The branches trail down to the ground, with dozens of twigs covered with thick bunches of tiny, green needles. The needles themselves are resistant.

In late summer it produces tiny, amber aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
