Indigospine

This enormous leaf succulent grows up to 131 feet (39.9 meters) tall. The tapering stem is dark blue, and is dotted with small brilliant red spines. The stumpy leaves are indigo on the edges and bronze at the center. Large amounts of them grow on round, moss green branches that trail down to the ground. The leaves are durable, and take little effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 3 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid black petals decorated with crimson dots and a silver central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is largely flat with several tightly layered narrow petals. It has the faintest scent that smells like pine needles.

The leaf succulent's skin is tough, the dull red flesh is waxy, and the dark blue sap is thin and can kill if consumed.
