Sunburst Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas On trees.
It is average-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is very sturdy.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release hundred of spores.
