Spiralvine Fruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This enormous fruit tree grows up to 71 feet (21.6 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 36 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a thick, straight trunk covered in rough, dark green bark, and inside, the very dense wood is yellow-brown.

The branches are short and thin and are covered with large amounts of huge, very thick leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are caramel and bronze.

In early spring, it produces hundreds of small, vibrant green blossoms with sickle shaped petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have a mildly strong scent that smells like petrol.

In mid-autumn it produces , long, narrow fruit. The rough crimson skin is tough and inedible, and the very soft blood red flesh is spicy and sour and syrupy. The light brown seeds are tiny and are located in the centre of the fruit.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.
