Emerald Capsule Moss

This dark grey and white moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In bogs, and In damp forests.
It is huge, growing up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they are slow to spread and grow, and is extremely frail.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release hundred of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
