Olive Bine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This large bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 348 feet (106.1 meters) and growing as high as 111 feet (33.8 meters).

It takes 17 months for the olive stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are smooth and fuzzy.

The wide, smooth leaves reach up to 2.8 feet (84 cm) in length. They are pale yellow and light brown, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the bine produces a thick sheet of average magenta flowers.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles

It actively smothers and kills off other plants.
It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
