Carambola vine
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This huge bine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,937 feet (895.2 meters) and growing as high as 183 feet (55.8 meters).
It takes 14 years for the caramel stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 4.3 feet (1.3 meters) and are smooth and waxy.
The wispy, soft leaves reach up to 1.4 feet (43 cm) in length. They are brilliant red and violet, and have toothed edges.
During late spring, the bine produces lots of tiny green flowers.
