Violet Puffgrass
Grass type: Annual (Stores water in its stem)This short, violet grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The stiff, pointed stalks grow in large clumps that are resistant.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, lilac puff.
During the early winter, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.
It is suitable for making strong rope
