Spiny Firecactus
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This small cactus grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 5 spear shaped stems. Each stem is orange-yellow, and is covered in dozens of rigid azure spines. The cuboid body is orange, and is dotted with small yellow spines.
It is steady-growing, taking 12 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are generally brilliant red; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour grow at the top, reappearing once every 4 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 45 petals. It has an intense scent that smells like cinnamon.
The cactus's skin is thick, the lime flesh is rubbery, and the violet sap is thin.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
