Twilight Vine

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 22 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous very thick, twisting stems covered in fine, smooth, dark gray bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.

The branches are very short and slender with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of small, wide, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are purple on the edges and amber at the center, frail and covered in fine hairs.

It produces several medium-sized, intense red flowers with asymmetrical petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like cotton. In mid-summer it forms smallhazel, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.
