Indigo Petalvine

Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its stem)

This short flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its burgundy stems grow in bunches of 4 and are thin with a curved tip, and the tiny, blue leaves are long, tapering with rounded edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

Around 20 small flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with white petals and an indigo central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 38 petals. They fall easily.

It has a strong scent that smells like freshly washed clothes, and it has lots of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also visited by some specific types of insect.

The sap is violet.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
