Twistvine

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This big creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 138 feet (42.1 meters) and growing as high as 40 feet (12.2 meters).

It takes 3 years for the light grey stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 1.3 feet (41 cm) and are thick and twisted.

The needle-like, fuzzy leaves reach up to 1.7 feet (51 cm) in length. They are generally pink, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces hundreds of small purple flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces a handful of large seed pods.

The sap causes severe allergic reactions.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
