Spiny Grayspike
Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 28 feet (8.5 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is orange, and is covered in many rigid red spines. The stumpy leaves are a shade of gray-green that gradient shifts to grey at the top. Small amounts of them grow on wide, deep yellow or light grey branches that are very long and slender. The leaves are durable, but detach easily.
It is quick growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid aquamarine petals decorated with black dots and a vivid yellow central disk, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight dish. It has a weak scent that smells like coffee.
The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the azure flesh is slimy, and the lime sap is thin.
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
