Yellow Tuft Grass

This small, gray-green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The fan-like stalks grow in thick clumps that are strong and tough and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, vivid yellow tuft.

During the late autumn, it produces lots of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of giant grains.
