Slategrass
Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This modest-sized, lime green and yellow grass grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The long, tapering stalks grow in extensive patches that are rigid.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, slate tuft.
During the late autumn, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of medium-sized grains.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
