Redthorn Grass
Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This average-sized, red grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The spear shaped stalks grow in large clumps that are strong and tough and they overwhelm an area rapidly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, brown flower.
During the early autumn, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of large grains.
All parts of the caudiciform are edible.
It is suitable for making strong rope
