Clinging Crimson?

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 16 feet (4.9 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 43 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, crooked trunk covered in fine, wrinkled, yellow bark, and inside, the very hard wood is pale brown-grey.

The sparse amount of branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with thick bunches of tiny, very thick leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are copper with white tips.

In early spring, it produces lots of small, dark red blossoms with heart-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have a weak scent that smells like fish.

In mid-autumn it produces very large, oval fruit. The fuzzy red skin is peel-able and inedible, and the soft magenta flesh is bitter and very dry. The caramel seed is tiny and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.
