Emerald Heath Moss

This lime green moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In heathlands, and In moorlands.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is slightly tough.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release dozens of spores.
