Regenwood

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This large tree grows up to 86 meters (282.2 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 676 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, straight trunk covered in rough, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is gray.

The abundance of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with thick bunches of fuzzy, huge, sickle shaped leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either lilac, or magenta with white lines.

In late summer it forms small, brilliant red, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.

It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
It has impressive regenerative properties.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
