Crimson Willow

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 325 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a stocky, straight trunk covered in delicate, rough, black bark, and inside, the hard wood is burgundy-brown.

The excessive amount of branches are short, thin and wispy and are covered with large amounts of waxy, small, long, narrow leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of purple that gradient shifts to cyan at the top.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, crimson, winged seeds that float and land far away.
