Marsh Spiral Moss

This lime green moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In marshes.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is overwhelmingly flexible.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release millions of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
