Flower type: Perennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This short flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its emerald stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 8 and are wispy and straight, and split into dozens of branching stems halfway up, and the large, gray-green leaves are black on the underside and are very narrow and elongated with ripped edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.
Two large flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of peach. The flower head is shaped like a heart made up of handfuls of raised, round-tipped petals. They are very delicate.
It has a delicate scent that smells like misty mornings, and it has a fair amount of pollen. It is a self-pollinator.
It commonly grows in large patches.
