Golden Ridgeleaf Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This massive tree grows up to 123 meters (403.6 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 86 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in thick, ridged, dark green bark, and inside, the very hard wood is pale yellow.
The branches are very short and slender and are covered with handfuls of soft, miniature, oblong leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are slate at the bottom and gold with lilac dots at the top.
In late summer it forms tiny, crimson berries.
The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
