Spiralpine

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This average-sized tree grows up to 24 meters (78.7 feet) tall and lives for over 1,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 1417 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in hard, wrinkled, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the very light wood is pale brown-grey.

The small handful of branches trail down across the ground, with thousands of twigs covered with small bunches of large, brown needles. The needles themselves are hardy.

In late summer it produces large, slate seed pods.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
