Silverbloom Tree

This enormous tree grows up to 115 meters (377.3 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 698 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, slanted trunk covered in thin, waxy, dark gray bark, and inside, the light wood is silver.

The branches are short stubs and are covered with small amounts of smooth, large, circular leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are dark yellow on the edges and cream at the center.

In early spring, it produces many clusters of giant, gold blossoms with long, tapering petals. They are sturdy and have a fairly strong scent that smells like rich perfume.

In late summer it forms giant, pale green, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.
