Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This modest-sized tree grows up to 39 meters (128.0 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 469 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in rough, silver bark, and inside, the very dense wood is white.
The numerous branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with very large amounts of fuzzy, huge, 5 pointed leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are generally silver.
In late summer it forms large, caramel, tough-shelled seeds.
The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.
