Spiralvine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 45 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many long and flexible, wonky stems covered in thin, wrinkled, dark brown bark, and the wood inside is silver.

The branches are long and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of miniature, long, tapering, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are beige and black, strong and crispy.

In early spring it produces a thick sheet of tiny, brilliant orange blossoms with heart-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like rotten meat.

In early autumn tiny wide fruits ripen. The crispy lilac skin is peel-able and inedible, and the crunchy azure flesh is sour and sticky. The green seeds are tiny and are dotted around on the skin of the fruit.

The stems are covered in large spikes.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
