Copperneedle

This short flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its copper stem is very thin and splits into dozens of branching stems at the base, and the small, silver leaves are needle-like with rounded edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Two giant flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 8 cm (3.1 inches) wide, with solid light orange petals decorated with dark green dots and a blood red central disk. The flower head is shaped like a trumpet with 43 tightly layered, narrow petals. They are hardy.

It has a delicate scent that smells like grass cuttings, and it has an average amount of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.
