Blue Stem Grass

This big, blue grass grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The finger-like stalks grow in small clumps that are strong and tough and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, brown flower.

During the mid-autumn, it produces a fair amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of small grains.
